The Nikon 24-85mm f3.5-4.5 G ED AF-S Nikkor is a versatile autofocus zoom lens offering both very wide angle to moderate telephoto capabilities. It is a lightweight and compact lens for its capabilities while still being durable and well-built. While the lens has a variable max aperture (f3.5 to f4.5) it has a constant minimum focusing distance of just 15in across the entire zoom range which gives it sneaky slight macro capabilities. This lens incorporates aspherical and ED glass elements for improved image quality. This lens has a 67mm filter thread.
As this lens is both a G and AF-S care should be taken to check compatibility with your Nikon camera. Nikon AF-S lenses will only autofocus on certain Nikon SLR cameras. Additionally, Nikon G lenses lack the manual aperture ring and require electronic control of aperture be done through the camera body.
